In March of 2009, the property had an existing building on it that needed desperate repair. There was much work to be done but it was a start. A start towards a camp that would one day provide nature's therapy to much deserving kids.
Pray for help and you will get it. We want to say thank you for all the hard work the Holy Convenant Lutheran Church of Katy Texas did during the winter of 2009. As you'll see during this slide show, the kids made huge strides toward getting the camp ready for the next stage of development.
During the beginning months of 2010, we had Foreman Extraordinaire Pete Wylie and son, PR Wylie volunteer to do some renovations to the camp. We would like to say a special thanks to these two gentlemen because as you can see from these pictures, there has been a lot of work done.
The other work done during the beginning of 2010 was made possible by the 2009 Fall Fundraiser. The photos below show the septic replacement as well as the a/c unit which was repaired. Again, we thank the sponsors and helpers as well as those that attended the fundraiser. We are looking forward to another successful one this year.
Here are some other photos taken in the Spring 2010.
There have been materials such as hard wood flooring, paint, concrete, etc. that have been donated as well.
After such as successful fundraiser, no time was wasted getting to work. Here you can see the progress being made so far. As more photos are taken we'll post them here for all those that helped make this possible. You can see just what you have helped do. The pictures included here show the leveling results as well as the beginning of the siding for the building. Also included is the land that has been cleared. There is much to be done but much that has already been accomplished as well. Soon we will see kids running in these pictures and we will all know it's been worth all the blood, sweat and tears (of joy, of course).
MORE work was done this past week. Here are a few photos to show just how well things are going "out at the ranch".
